A MAN was “hit over the head” outside a phone shop in front of a busy high street.
Police were called to The Broadway, in Highams Park, to reports of a man with a head injury just after 4pm on Wednesday (April 5).
Scotland Yard confirmed the man was treated by medics after an alleged assault.
There are unconfirmed reports suggesting the man was assaulted by a group of youths.
The man was taken to an east London hospital, but his injuries are described as minor.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
