A PERSON was rushed to hospital after they were struck by a train.
British Transport Police were called to the eastbound platform at Wanstead Tube station shortly after 11.15am on Saturday (April 8).
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) rushed to the scene with a London Air Ambulance helicopter landing on George Green.

Police are not treating the incident as suspicious and are still working to establish the identity of the person.

A LAS spokesman said the person's injuries were "serious".
The Central Line was closed between Leytonstone and Newbury Park until later in the afternoon.
