Spider’s ears
So, Redbridge wants our views for its parking consultation.
However, it seems to me that the council will collect the responses from its three different Wanstead parking questionnaires – for residents, shoppers and businesses – and interpret them to fit its own view.
Perhaps the following example is illustrative of this. A friend told me that spiders have ears in their legs, which he proved by catching a spider and shouting at it.
The spider ran but he caught it again, pulled all the legs off and again shouted.
This time the spider didn’t move – it was, after all, legless – thus he proved that spiders have ears in their legs.
To me, Redbridge’s approach is no different to that of my friend, and the council will use our views to prove the case for what it wants.
Why don’t we trust our council?
