AN EX-PUPIL from a now defunct girls school is hoping to roll back the years at a reunion.
Chrina Jarvis, 63, is hoping to trace some of her classmates from Selwyn Girls Junior School in Highams Park using a black and white photograph from 1965.
So far Miss Jarvis has managed to trace eight out of the 40 girls in the photo and hopes by printing their names, she will find the missing pieces to her school puzzle.
Miss Jarvis got the idea for a reunion after meeting her old classmate Yvonne Sanders.
She said: “Having enjoyed reminiscing about our school days and catching up on what has happened in our lives since we last saw each other more than 50 years ago, we decided it would be lovely to meet up with more of our classmates.”
The get together will start at 1pm on Saturday, June 3, at the Royal Oak pub in King's Head Hill, in Chingford.
Listed below are the names of the girls, including the head teacher Miss Brooker, pictured top left, and Miss Parrott, pictured top right.
