A RUGBY club is asking the community to cheer them on as they face a nail-biting playoff match.
Chingford Rugby Club is on the brink of promotion after securing second place in the league with last week’s victory over Brentwood.
If the boys get through a crunch playoff tie against Tunbridge Wells on home soil tomorrow (April 29), they will be promoted to National League 3 South league.
Captain Nick Rumble is hoping the whole town will come to Lea Valley Playing Fields, in Waltham Way, to cheer them on to victory.
He said: “If you're looking for something to do on Saturday then please come down and cheer on the team.
“This is an historic moment for our club and it would be great to celebrate it with the community.”
The game is free to attend, and kicks off at 3pm.
