Three teenage women have been arrested in east London in connection with the foiled "terror plot” which saw another woman shot by police.

Two 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old were arrested on Monday morning on suspicion of planning terror attacks, the Metropolitan police said.

They are being held at a police station outside London.

A Met spokesman said the arrests were part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation in connection with an address on Harlesden Road in Willesden, which was raided by counter-terrorism officers on Thursday night.

Ten people have now been arrested under the Terrorism Act since the Met fired CS gas canisters into the Willesden home and shot the 21-year-old woman.
