CINEMA-GOERS were forced out of a late-night screening when the venue caught fire.
Around 50 people were evacuated from Stratford’s Picture House cinema in Salway Road on Thursday night (May 11), but everyone escaped unharmed.
Fire engines from Leytonstone and Stratford rushed to put out the flames at 10.40pm, which damaged the cinema’s signs and ground floor storeroom.
The fire was under control by 11.12pm, but what caused it is still unclear.
