Four men have been arrested on suspicion of terror offences after a string of raids across east London.
The suspects, ages 18, 24, 25 and 27 were arrested at various addresses across east London during a sting carried out by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command today (Wednesday, May 17).
All four were detained on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism and remain in custody at a south London police station.
Officers also searched five residential addresses in east London as well as a business address in the area.
Arrests were pre-planned as part of an ongoing investigation by the Counter Terrorism Command and MI5 and are linked to activity in the UK.
