A FAMILY had a lucky escape after their house caught fire.
Four fire engines and 20 firefighters rushed to a house in Widecombe Gardens, Clayhall to reports of a blaze just after 6pm on Monday (May 22).
When they got there they found the parents and their two children had already escaped unharmed.
Part of the ground floor of the house was damaged by the flames, but they were under control just over an hour later at 7.15pm.
The cause of the fire is unknown and still under investigation.
