A PARTY will be held to mark the first anniversary of the murdered MP Jo Cox.
The Great Walthamstow Get Together will take place on Saturday June 17.
The mother-of-two, 41, was shot and stabbed to death by a right-wing extremist on June 16 2016.
There will be live entertainment, face painting and an iftar meal at sundown to mark the breaking of the fast for Ramadan.
Prayer facilities will also be available.
A statement posted by organisers online read: “We are organising a Great Get Together in memory of Jo Cox and as part of supporting our community to show we have more in common than those who wish to divide us realise.
“We want to use this opportunity to bring all corners of our community together to show that we have more in common than that what divides us."
The event will take place at 6pm in Walthamstow Town Square.
