NURSES and midwives could bag themselves a new job on the spot this Saturday.

Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT) is hoping to seek out new members of staff at an open day this weekend (June 17).

All qualified nurses and midwives are welcome and will have the chance to chat to staff from King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford.

Interviews will take place on the day and successful candidates could go home with a job offer.

BHRUT paediatric nurse Fay Deasy joined the trust in 2002 and is calling on others to consider joining her.

She said: “From the start it really stood out to me how keen our trust is to make roles accessible to all, ensuring that everyone has opportunities for education and development.

“I love the fact that they make the effort to find out what people’s passions are and help them progress from there.

“Everyone is so committed and we put our patients at the heart of all we do to ensure they always receive everything they need.”

The trust came out of special measures after three years in March when Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors reported improvements across both hospitals.

The recruitment day will run from 10am to 4pm on June 17 at Queen’s Hospital in Rom Valley Way, Romford.
