A COMMUNITY iftar was held at a college to bring people of all faiths together.

Noor Ul Islam Trust in Leyton High Road teamed up with Leyton Sixth Form College in Essex Road to host the event on Tuesday, June 20.

Representatives from the Jewish and Christian communities, Waltham Forest Council leader Clare Coghill and the borough’s police commander Richard Tucker attended.

Yusuf Hansa, chairman of Noor Ul Islam Trust, mentioned the recent attacks in Westminster, Manchester, London Bridge and Finsbury Park in his speech.

He said: “Those horrific actions will make us stronger and stand together in harmony and love. As long as we all work together, unity and peace can be achieved.”
