THE annual Leytonstone Festival has kicked off to a great start.
The opening event took place at St John the Baptist Church in Leytonstone High Road on Saturday, July 1, with live music, a food market and performances from drama groups.

The CommUnity Gospel Choir and the Vipers were among the acts that entertained the crowds.
Mayor of Waltham Forest Cllr Yemisi Osho opened the festival which will run until Sunday, July 16.

Over 80 events will take place in Leytonstone over the two-week period.
