The Women of Walthamstow Uniting summer festival took place on Sunday (July 9) in Walthamstow Town Square.
The newly-formed group was set up to give women a platform to celebrate their talents and achievements.
Danielle Parker founded the group after being inspired by the Women’s March in London earlier this year.
The event featured dance groups, martial arts, live entertainment and children’s activities.
Elise Yarde was named as the winner of the ‘Woman of Walthamstow’ award. Earlier this year Miss Yarde fundraised to supply homeless women with care packages containing sanitary products.
Ms Parker said: “It was fantastic day. There were a lot of young people at the event and there was so much positive energy. Everyone enjoyed themselves.”
