An 'accidental' fire broke out on the 31st floor of a new tower block.
Around 35 firefighters and six fire engines scrambled to the fire at the huge block of flats on the High Street, in Stratford, just after 10pm last night.
The small fire gutted a large metal bin in a flat high up in the block, which is under construction.
The building is a new development and was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.
Firefighters had the blaze under control shortly before 1am today, with the LFB confirming no one was injured.
Crews from Leytonstone, Stratford, Poplar, Plaistow, Homerton and Leyton fire stations were at the scene.
An LFB spokesman said the fire was not suspicious and is being treated as "accidental".
