There’s just over a week to go before this year’s festival celebrating one of Leytonstone’s greatest ‘sons’ kicks off.
Hitchcock’s Home will be held in the grounds of St John the Baptist’s Church in Leytonstone High Road from Wednesday, July 26, to Friday, July 28.
Sir Alfred Hitchcock, born in Leytonstone in 1899, was a film director and producer often referred to as “the master of suspense”.
The annual festival will feature nightly screenings of psychological thriller Vertigo, which was produced and directed by Hitchcock in 1958.

The church’s 23metre tower which offers spectacular views across east London will open up for a free tour. Places are limited and it is first come first served.
Tickets are £16 per person and doors open at 6.30pm.
