A TEENAGE sensation who made £25,000 from a tuck shop he set up in his school toilets is considering donating the profits to the charity that mentors him.

Nathan John-Baptiste was dubbed the ‘Wolf of Walthamstow’ after starting the business with just £5 when he was in Year 7.

After rising to international fame, the 15-year-old of Walthamstow told a national newspaper he may donate the profits from left-over items to Gangs Unite.

Founder of the youth charity Colin James has been mentoring Nathan for the past three years.

The teenager appeared on ITV's This Morning telling the audience the secrets of running a tuck-shop empire.

He said: “We are not aware of any funding from Nathan. It’s surprising to hear because he has never said anything to me about it.

“If money is obtained ethically then we can accept it.

“I am supportive of it in the fact that he wasn’t selling drugs but he could have done it differently.

“There are other means to make money and he realises that now.”

Nathan employed 11 pupils across three schools before teachers discovered the sweet shop and shut it down.

Colin James founded Gangs Unite to help young people stay on the right path.

The entrepreneur was inspired to set up the business after Gangs Unite invited a millionaire into his school to speak to students.

Mr James said although he doesn’t agree with the way Nathan obtained money, there is no denying his talent.

“He’s very mature for his age and he knows what he wants to do and he had it mapped out from a very young age,” he said.

“You don’t have to go down the gang route to make money and for young people that seems to be what he is showing them.

“The fact that he had the idea to start this shows his potential.”

Mr James said Nathan is welcome to donate to one of the charity’s ‘Young Leaders Programmes’ which focuses on students’ behaviour, character building and life skills.
