He was arrested on suspicion of spreading terrorist material
A MAN from east London has been arrested on terrorism offences.
Police caught up with the 36-year-old man this morning (July 26) at an address in east London.
He was arrested on suspicion of spreading terrorist material, contrary to the Terrorism Act 2006.
Detectives from the Met Police Counter Terrorism Command took are keeping the man in custody at a central London police station.
Officers are carrying out a search at the address and enquiries continue.
