Police officers in Waltham Forest received a very unusual item from a lady clearing out a relative’s house - a taxidermy turtle.
The stuffed animal is thought to be “very old” and has been donated to the Met’s Wildlife Crime Unit.
It will now be used as an educational tool at events focusing on the selling and trading of endangered stuffed animals and animal parts.
