People from a wide range of religions will unite under the banner of ‘one community’ at an inter-faith event.
The annual Waltham Forest Faith Fayre will take place in Walthamstow Town Square on Saturday August 12.
A team will be on hand to promote the importance of strong relationships between religions in the borough in the lead up to Interfaith Week in November.
The event will also be used to promote hate crime awareness and to celebrate diversity in the community.
Speaking at last year’s event, Jean King, a member of Sgi, a Buddhist group, said: “The most important thing is to initiate dialogue in the community and that people of all religions and beliefs work together and promote a spirit of friendship.”
The event will bring together Bahai, Buddhist, Christian, Hare Krishna, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh worshippers. It will run from 11am to 4pm.
