A CHILDREN’S hospice is transforming its woodland grounds into an outdoor cinema.

From September 15 to 17 Haven House Children’s Hospice is opening up its forest surroundings for an open air film festival to raise money for the disabled and life-limited children it looks after.

The hospice in High Road, Woodford Green, organises everything from fire walks to evening balls to raise money for its families, but next month’s outdoor cinema will be something completely new.

On Friday children and their parents will be able to re-live the adventures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear with a screening of Toy Story.

On Saturday Patrick Swayze fans will be treated to the ultimate girls’ night out with a showing of Dirty Dancing, and on the final night musical fans will get the chance to see Grease.

Popcorn, food and drink, including a ‘Grease-themed’ pop-up bar on Sunday, will be available from 6.30pm, with films starting each night at 7.30pm.

Haven House events manager Katie Tyler said: “We hope as many cinema fans as possible will join us as we head out for a night at the movies.
