THE SINGER who went further than One Direction in X-Factor is making her way to the biggest party in Chingford’s social calendar.

Liverpool soul singer Rebecca Ferguson is headlining this year’s Chingford Get Together, which is hoping to attract thousands of people to Ridgeway Park, in Old Church Road, once again.

A custom-built Chingfest arena will play host to a star-studded line-up including N-Trance, Gwen Dickie, Kenny Thomas, DJ Ernie plus many more.

A selection of food and drink stalls will play the perfect accompanying act to hours of live music.

The council’s organisers are keen to stress that no alcohol can be brought into the event.

Dogs are allowed inside but owners are reminded that there will be high volumes of revellers and loud noise all day.

The free-to-attend festival will get underway at 1pm on Saturday, August 12, and finish by 8pm.

There is limited capacity so if the festival fills up, you may need to queue and wait for people to leave before you can get in.

There are no public car parks available, visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport wherever possible.
