A newly-formed group of young artists are preparing for their first exhibition and are offering other emerging talents the chance to get involved.

Art Box will showcase a wide range of crafts at the event in Mirth, Marvel and Maud, Hoe Street, Walthamstow on Sunday August 27.

Photographers and artists will display their creations which will be for sale and members of the public can submit their sketches to be featured in the library.
Ezra Welch, owner of BubbleGum Owl, will be showcasing her creations at the event.

She said: “We are a group of diverse artists and we are so excited about this event.

“There are so many amazing artists around at the moment and we are giving them a platform to display their work.

“We just want to bring art to life again.

“We are young people who are passionate about art in a place that is amazing – we are so lucky to have the Maud theatre.”  

A cartoonist, a surrealist and artists who work with light sculptures and raw materials are some of those who will be in attendance. 

Entry is free and complimentary alcohol will be provided for guests.

Doors open at 12.30pm and close at 8pm.
