Fire crews were called to Walthamstow town centre after a blaze broke out at a restaurant.
Firefighters were called to Hoe Street at around 3pm this afternoon (Saturday, August 12) after smoke was seen billowing from a building.

The fire broke out in a flat above the Village Food Court restaurant, close to the junction with Selborne Road.
London Fire Brigade said no one had been injured in the blaze but the third floor of the property had been damaged.
The fire were brought under control at around 3.45pm, but fire crews remain at the scene to damp down the building.

Four fire engines and a command unit were sent to deal with the blaze.
Hoe Street was closed while the incident was underway, with traffic and public transport being diverted away from the street.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
