A fancy dress competition will be held to find the young Elvis fan who best resembles the “king of rock and roll”.
Boys and girls aged 12 and under are encouraged to dress up for the competition at Leyton Food Market in Coronation Gardens, Leyton High Road on Saturday August 19.
Wednesday August 16 marks the 40th anniversary of the death of the music legend.
Bruce, the organiser of the competition, said: “We will be playing Elvis songs and dancing along.
“He’s the man. He’s the icon of the period and if he had not come along then maybe rock and roll would not have changed so much.
“I just want to share our love of Elvis with others.”
The competition is free to enter and will run from noon until 3pm.
