A ROAD has been blocked off overnight after a man was attacked and rushed to hospital.

Police cordoned off Jessel Drive in Loughton between Colebrook Lane and Castell Road at around 11.30pm yesterday (August 15).

When they got to the scene near The Cottage Loaf pub they found a man in his 40s had been beaten up.

He was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital with face, arm, and leg injuries.

Police believe the two suspects are white men, both around 5ft 10in tall and wearing white t-shirts.

One was slim and the other larger build.

There have been no arrests made and the number 20 bus is being diverted away from the crime scene.
