A man has been charged with causing the death of a cyclist after a crash in Buckhurst Hill last year.
Justyn Ransley is accused of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident following the death of Stephen Wightwick on December 1, 2016.
The incident, which took place in Roding Hill during the early hours of the morning, saw a collision between a lorry and cyclist Mr Wightwick, 48, who died shortly after.
The driver of the lorry involved failed to stop at the scene but officers later found the lorry in a compound in Basildon. Shortly after Mr Ransley was arrested at his home address.
The 37-year-old, of Cunningham Close, Shoebury, who has also been charged with failing to report and incident, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on September 27.
