The first storm of the season has been officially named and is set to batter parts of the UK tonight.
Storm Aileen will bring strong winds to central parts of the country following a period of low pressure.
Amber weather warnings for wind have been issued for several areas, including the east of England.
The Met Office predicts that, between midnight tonight and 6am tomorrow morning, the storm will bring a brief spell of very strong westerly wind with gusts of up to 75mph.
Damage to trees and perhaps buildings, as well as power cuts are expected, while flying debris and large coastal waves are possible and could cause injuries.
