POLICE uncovered cannabis worth £60,000 following a raid on an abandoned flat.
Detectives unearthed the drugs haul at a house in Woodford High Road, after after executing a search warrant granted by Barkingside Magistrates’ Court.
The factory was based in the living room. There were no occupants in the flat.
Around 40 cannabis plants, which would have had up to £60,000 in street value when mature, were taken away and destroyed.
Officers secured the flat following the search on the morning of Wednesday, September 13.
There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.
