Fire crews were called into action when a van burst into flames at the side of a road.
Firefighters were called at around 7.42pm on Wednesday (September 20) to Roughtallys in North Weald to reports of a vehicle fire.
On arrival at the scene, crews found a medium-sized van, which had caught alight on the roadside.
Firefighters from Epping and Harlow stations were able to extinguish the blaze by around 8.19pm.
Crews also worked to ensure a nearby telegraph pole, which had been affected by the fire, did not pose a further safety risk.
The fire was caused by a fault within the van, which was completely destroyed. The cause has been recorded as accidental.
