Leyton Orient have completed the signing of Mark Ellis on a two-month loan from Carlisle United.
The centre-back arrives in the wake of the news Josh Coulson will be out for two months with a groin injury.
With over 300 league appearances to his name, Ellis will add vital experience to the O’s ranks and has had spells at Bolton, Torquay United and Crewe.
Ellis spent the second half of last season on loan at Forest Green where he made 17 league appearances, scoring two goals.
Orient boss Steve Davis knows the 28-year-old well after working with him during his time in charge of Crewe.
