FUNDRAISERS holding the world’s biggest coffee morning smashed last year’s takings by nearly £100.
Current and former staff at the South Woodford branch of NatWest sealed £425.79 in their cake sale for Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday, September 29, beating last year’s total of £350.
Tesco in Highams Park, Waitrose in South Woodford, Morrison’s in Chingford and Sainsbury’s in Low Hall all donated cakes to the cause.
Pinar Seydali, branch manager said: “It was a huge success and I'd like to say a big thank you to the local businesses for donating to this event and also to our customers for generously donating.”
