THREE health centres across Redbridge are set to undergo renovation work.
NHS Property Services has signed off on a £271,000 funding scheme to improve South Woodford Health Centre, Newbury Park Health Centre and Seven Kings Health Centre.
The work will include roof replacement, improvements to the outside of buildings, floors and windows. Heating and building improvements at South Woodford Health Centre will cost £176,000.
The work will be carried out by property design consultants McBains and is due for completion by March 2018.
Anthony Coumidis, director and public sector head of McBains, said: “This contract will mean a number of primary health facilities across the capital will be given a new lease of life and improve services for patients.
“McBains has already worked on a raft of public sector projects and has expertise in delivering efficiency savings, in particular in terms of sustainable development, which will help increase public sector savings.”
