A man has been charged with drug dealing offences after a string of raids.

Brian Iduma, of Prospect Hill in Walthamstow, was arrested during an Essex Police operation in Harlow on October 10.

The 21-year-old was one of three people detained after a sting at a property in Spinning Wheel Mead, Harlow, and was later charged with possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply.

A 16-year-old boy was also charged with possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply, while a 31-year-old arrested on suspicion of dealing Class A drugs was released pending investigation.

Iduma and the teen appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court to face the charges, where both were remanded in custody to appear at the same court next month.

Police also raided a home in Aynsley Gardens, Harlow, arresting a two men aged 21 and 22 on suspicion of dealing Class B drugs, later releasing them while enquiries continue.

Following the operation, officers also secured court orders on the two properties, preventing anyone but the owner entering for three months.

The orders on both homes aim to prevent anti-social behaviour and the misuse of drugs. Anyone caught breaching them could face jail.

PC Robin Hance of the Harlow Community Policing Team said: “We will not tolerate any form of anti-social behaviour or drug dealing in our community.

“Where we are aware that this criminality is taking place we will use all the powers open to us, including the powers of arrest and to close a property as in this case, to prevent further offences.”
