A hospice will stage a series of services over the festive season to help families remember loved ones.

St Clare Hospice is holding four services across the Epping Forest area as part of its Light Up a Life programme.

Anyone, whether they have a personal connection with the Hastingwood hospice or not, is invited to attend the free events over the festive period to remember loved ones they have lost.

Sarah Thompson, Clare chief executive said: “St Clare has been bringing warmth and love to the lives of people across West Essex for more than 25 years.

“The care and support we offer does not end when someone dies, and our Light Up a Life services are just one of the ways we continue to support people when they need it most.”

“The events are so special, and offer precious time to pause and remember those close to our hearts, in the company of others who understand.”

The first service will take place at The Abbey Church, Waltham Abbey on November 30 from 7pm, before an event at Loughton Methodist Church from 7pm on December 2.

The next service will be at St Martin’s Church in Chipping Ongar on December 7 from 4.30pm, before the final service at Epping Baptist Church at 7pm on December 12.
