Pupils at a Walthamstow primary school will benefit from a healthy eating boost after one of their teachers took part in a national food education event.
Michaela Chowdhury of William Morris School in Folly Lane, Walthamstow attended the Food For Thought event about nutrition and body image in primary school pupils.
Joining science and health experts at London’s Coin Street Conference Centre earlier this month, Ms Chowdhury took part in workshops run by Jenny Tschiesche, also known as The Lunchbox Doctor.
Ms Tschiesche shared tips for teaching children about healthy eating and highlighted the importance of building interest in nutrition at an early age.

Ms Chowdhury said: “The day was absolutely amazing.
“The presentations and practical activities were really impressive and I know that my students will enjoy the science experiments and digital resources we have seen today.”
The event was hosted by Discovery Education and Alimentarium Academy to give teachers ideas and resources to take back to the classroom.
