Two men have been charged after a fatal crash in Waltham Abbey last year.
Daniel Odame-Danquah, 30, of St Leonards Road, Nazeing, has been charged with causing death by careless driving while impaired through drugs, perverting the course of justice and failing to disclose a pin code for his phone.
He will also be summoned for two separate offences of failing to stop and failing to report a road traffic collision.
Leon Odame-Danquah, 34, also of St Leonards Road, Nazeing has been charged with failing to disclose a pin code for his phone.
The charges follow an incident in Crooked Mile, at around 3.45am on July 7 last year, where a grey Volkswagen Golf and a white Mercedes were involved in a crash.
An unnamed 30-year-old man from London was taken to hospital following the collision, but later died of his injuries.
Both men were charged by police yesterday (Tuesday, October 31) and are now due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on December 6.
