A 78-YEAR-OLD man has been killed in a hit-and-run.
Police are appealing for information after the crash involving a white VW Golf following a collision with the pensioner in South Woodford at 6.30pm on Sunday, November 5.
The car involved in the incident is believed to have been dumped in a nearby road.
Paramedics and police attended the scene in Woodford Road at the junction with Bedford Road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
Next of kin have been informed. Police believe they know the identity of the deceased but formal identification has yet to take place.
Officers from The Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
