HUNDREDS paused in silent tribute to honour those killed during the First World War, the Second World War and other conflicts.

People are gathering in Waltham Forest, Redbridge and Epping to pay tribute to the servicemen who gave up their lives to fight for our country.

Silence fell at 11am as the country paused for two minutes, and parades across east London saw people leave poppies at war memorials to pay their respects.
