DRIVERS will be hit by delays due to waterworks on a high road.
Thames Water is closing George Lane, South Woodford, outside Slug and Lettuce, to carry out a valve exchange in the carriageway.
Work begins on Tuesday, November 28 and is expected to finish on Thursday, November 30.
Traffic will be diverted via Glebelands Avenue, Cleveland Road and High Road, South Woodford.
A guarantee on the duration of the works has not been given, with weather and outside agencies cited as two factors which could delay completion.
