Are you a social media guru or web developer looking for a challenge this weekend?
An overnight ‘hackathon’ will be held to mark Waltham Forest Digital Month.
From 7pm on Friday, November 17 to 7am on Saturday, November 18 one of Waltham Forest Town Hall’s committee rooms will be transformed into a creative technology hub.
The hackathon will see people work together to solve a problem using technology and create something new over a set period of time.
The event is organised by Waltham Forest Council in partnership with Walthamstuff, a website that shares information about events in the borough.
Digital month is part of the council’s bid to be named London’s first Borough of Culture.
Web developers, designers, researchers and project managers are welcome to take part in the event at Waltham Forest Town Hall in Forest Road, Walthamstow.
The outcomes of the hackathon will directly support Walthamstuff and will meet the council’s aim of promoting digital accessibility and youth engagement.
Entry is free.
