Police investigating two acid attacks on delivery drivers, one which left a man fighting for his life, are appealing for drivers who were in the area to hand over their dash cam footage.

Muhammed Nawshad Kamal, 32, was sprayed with acid by two men as he delivered pizza in Walpole Road, Walthamstow at about 6pm on Thursday, November 2.

The 32-year-old had refused to hand over his moped keys to the pair on a scooter, one of whom was wearing a white helmet and one a black helmet.

There were fears the victim would lose his eyesight and over £12,000 was raised for him through a JustGiving page.

He has since been discharged from hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

About half an hour after the attack a second man - also a 32-year-old delivery driver - was sprayed in the face with acid in Yarmouth Crescent in Tottenham.

He suffered minor injuries to his face after being attacked by a pair of moped riders who tried to steal his scooter.

Two teenage boys aged 14 and 16 were arrested in connection with the Walthamstow incident.

Both have been released under investigation.

Officers trying to establish if the two attacks are linked are appealing to drivers who were in the following roads between 6.10pm and 6.30pm on November 2 to come forward:

Blackhorse Road, Hoe Street, Church Hill Road and Walpole Road in Walthamstow;

Ferry Lane, Watermead Way and Hale Road in Tottenham.
