TWO SUSPECTS have been bailed after being arrested for alleged drug, driving and weapons offences.
Patrolling officers stopped a man and a woman in Woodford New Road, E17, in the early hours of Friday, November 17.
Police noticed the vehicle was allegedly driving at speed and requested them to stop.
When searching the vehicle police found a butterfly knife in the driver’s side door pocket and a machete under the spare tyre in the boot.
The female, who was in the driving seat, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, no insurance and no driving licence.
The male suspect was arrested for alleged possession of an offensive weapon and cannabis.
The male suspect was bailed to court and the female bailed to youth court. She was charged with two driving document offences.
