Authorities say they are no "extremely concerned" for the safety of a missing woman, who is missing with her four-month old baby.

Taiwo Martins and her infant son have been missing from the Leyton area on Tuesday, November 7.

The mum is yet to register her baby and Metropolitan Police and Waltham Forest Council say with cold weather approaching concern for her whereabouts is growing.

She is described a black female with short dark hair. She is around 5ft 6in tall, and of slim build.

Taiwo may be wearing a traditional Nigerian head-dress, known as gele, and robes. At the time of her disappearance, she had a black and maroon coloured baby buggy with her.

She is known to frequent the Walthamstow area

Taiwo is known to be a practicing Ahayah’s witness.

Detective Inspector Karen Knibbs, said: "We are keen to make contact with Taiwo to make sure that she and her four-month-old son, who is yet to be registered are health, well and safe.

"With the temperature set to drop over the next few weeks, we really want to find both Taiwo and her son and bring them home safely."
