Barnardo’s rewarded 20 young adults they are supporting into greater independence in Barkingside on Monday, December 4.

Teens received awards for success in areas like employment, training and learning new languages.

Cllr Elaine Norman, cabinet member for children and young people at Redbridge Council said: “It’s wonderful to be able to help celebrate these young people’s impressive successes. The council is very proud of them all and we will continue striving to be a good corporate parent to our care leavers as they move forward in their lives.”

Care leavers celebrated with their personal advisers and guests at the Jack Carter Pavilion at Oakfields Playing Fields.
