THE TIME has come to nominate borough heroes who have given up their time to help their community.
Linda Hugget, mayor of Redbridge, is urging members of the public to put forward individuals or businesses who put others before themselves.
Winners of the Mayor’s Community Awards 2018 will be decided by councillors, officers and ordinary members of the public.
The mayor said the awards are a chance to acknowledge those whose work goes unnoticed.
She said: “Sometimes those making a difference to their community remain anonymous, but through these awards we aim to celebrate and recognise the work they do.”
“I look forward to meeting the residents and businesses who help to make this borough great, so please get nominating.”
The closing date for nominations is Saturday, December 30.
The awards ceremony will be held at Redbridge Town Hall on Thursday, March 22, 2018.
