LAKESIDE Hammers' Kris Kasprzak is officially a World Speedway Champion after Poland claimed their second World Cup at Leszno. The Polish star, who rides at the Leszno circuit, top scored for the home nation with fourteen points to help his side to glory on Saturday. The home nation took the Ove Fundin Trophy with a last heat victory from Tomasz Gollob to defeat Denmark at the death. Meanwhile Monday's home meeting with Coventry was washed out, with the Hammers now out of action until Monday when they travel to Belle Vue.
