Students had their artwork projected onto the outside walls of their school in an effort to reach passersby with their message.
Kelmscott Secondary School in Markhouse Road, Walthamstow held the Illuminations Exhibition on Tuesday to celebrate diversity.
It showcased artwork from a range of mediums including painting, photography, sculptures and calligraphy.
Mayor of Waltham Forest Cllr Yemi Osho and various community groups attended.
Head of Art Ms Pam Stone said: “We are just very proud of the pupils and the way in which they have experimented with new ideas.
“People walking past were looking at it and it reached those who would not usually come into the school to see the artwork.”
