A community association hosted a Christmas party for over 50s at the Ex-servicemen’s Club in Harvey Road, Leytonstone this week.
SLADA (South Leytonstone Area Development Association) teamed up with Sally’s Kitchen, based in Southwell Grove Road and Leytonstone Rotary Club to make the event possible.
Asda in Leyton Mills Retail Park donated £850 towards the festive celebrations which included a meal, carols and entertainment.
SLADA treasurer Sharyn Peters said: "SLADA would like to thank Asda Leyton Mills for their generosity and for all the other organisations for promoting a happy time".
