Twenty pupils from Heathcote School gathered at the war memorial in Chingford Mount to raise cash for a cancer charity.
Schoolchildren gathered at a war memorial to sing Christmas carols and collect donations for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The group from Heathcote School & Science College in Normanton Park, Chingford were led by Head of Music Mr Argyrakis and Assistant Head Mr Gallacher.
A total of £80 was raised by the singers in Years 7 to 10 at Albert Crescent in Chingford Mount.
The school will continue to collect donations for the charity until it breaks for Christmas holidays this week.
